GRAB & GO Breakfast and Lunches

During the weeks of school closures, Fort Hancock ISD schools will offer weekday breakfast and lunch meals for children 18 years of age and under on a drive through basis. Vehicles can pull up from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and receive BOTH breakfast and lunch meals for children at the same time.

UPDATE (effective Monday, March 30, 2020):

Due to new state regulations, those who utilize the grab and go meal service at our site to receive delivery of breakfast and lunch for their children DO NOT need to have the children inside the car. However, they MUST provide one of the following items to receive school meals for children who are not present:

 

  • Official letter/email/electronic school application from school that lists child(ren) enrolled;
  • Individual student report card(s);
  • Birth certificate for child(ren) not in school; or
  • Student ID card(s)

 

Also, please keep in mind that each child is entitled to only ONE breakfast and ONE lunch meal per weekday; claiming multiple meals at multiple sites for the same child is not permitted.

 We hope this helps ease any difficulties you may have experienced during the school closures, and we encourage everyone to stay safe and healthy at home. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

DESAY UNOS V ALMUERZOS PARA RECOGER Y IRSE

Durante las semanas de cierre de las escuelas, las escuela.s de Fort Hancock ISD ofreceran desayunos y almuerzos entre semana para ninos de 18 anos de edad y menores a traves de servicio al carro. Los vehiculos pueden detenerse de 8:00 a.m. a 9:30 a.m. y recibir AMBOS desayunos y almuerzos  para nines al mismo  tiempo.

Actualizacion (vigente a partir del lunes 30 de marzo de  2020):

Debido a las nuevas regulaciones estatales, aquellos que utilizan el servicio de comida para llevar en el lugar para recibir el desayuno y el almuerzo para sus hijos NO necesitan tener a los nines dentro del autom6vil. Sin embargo, DEBEN proporcionar uno de los siguientes artfculos para recibir comidas escolares para nines que no estan presentes:

 

  • Carta oficial / correo electronico / solicitud electronica de la escuela que enumera a los ninos registrados en la escuela;
  • Boleta individual de calificaciones del estudiante;
  • Certificado  de nacimiento  para ninos que no estan registrados  en la escuela; o
  • Tarjeta (s} de identificacion del estudiante

Ademas, tenga en cuenta que cada nino tiene derecho a UN solo desayuno y UN almuerzo por   dia de la semana; Nose permite reclamar comidas multiples en varios sitios para el mismo nino. 

Esperamos que esto ayude a aliviar cualquier dificultad que pueda haber experimentado durante el cierre de la escuela, y alentamos a todos a mantenerse seguros y saludables en casa. Gracias por su paciencia y comprension.
